At Pixel Press, students become authors, designers, illustrators, and publishers.
Through a hands-on Draft-to-Digital process, students begin with ideas on paper and transform them into original digital creations using the iPad. Each project combines purposeful writing with illustration, design, multimedia, and publishing.
Students don't simply learn digital tools—they learn how to use those tools to communicate their ideas.

The Draft-To-Digital Publishing Process
Read like an author
We read mentor tests, notice what makes them powerful, and study the author's craft.
Plan like a creator
Students draft and sketch their ideas in their journals-planning words, pictures, layout, audience, and purpose.
Design like an illustrator
Using iPads, students learn and apply digital skills to illustrate, record audio, add photos, animate, and more.
publish like a designer
Students combine writing and design, make intentional choices, revise and publish polished work.
Share like an author
Students present their work and celebrate their creations. Families can scan QR codes to enjoy their published books!
